What We Believe

We hold to the central doctrines of Christianity that have historically been affirmed by the main branches of the universal Church, including the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed.  We also fully embrace the Lausanne Covenant, the widely-adopted mission statement of the global Church.

WE BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE,
the 66 Books of the Old and New Testaments, is verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, and that it is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD,
the Creator of heaven and earth, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST,
the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully human, who embodied a life full of grace and truth, died on the cross for our sins, rose again from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT,
the Spirit of the Creator, who gives life to believers through His indwelling personal presence, enables them to understand the Bible, convicts them of sin, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness.

WE BELIEVE THAT ALL HUMANS
are created in God’s image to live with God, glorify Him, and enjoy Him forever.  However, having followed their sinful desires, all humans are alienated from God and from each other, unable to save themselves from God’s ultimate judgment.

WE BELIEVE THAT WE ARE SAVED
by grace alone, the gift of God freely offered to all who repent of their sinful ways and put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.

WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE HEAD
of the universal Church, composed of all Christ’s people who are called to be holy, be witnesses to the truth, and make disciples of all nations.

WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST WILL RETURN
to the earth with great power and glory, gathering His elect, judging all people with justice and mercy, and bringing His kingdom to fulfillment.

WE BELIEVE THAT BOTH THE JUST AND THE UNJUST
will be resurrected bodily, and that the unrepentant will be handed over to eternal condemnation while the redeemed will be ushered into eternal blessedness in the presence of Jesus Christ.
